Stay 'n' Play - Details for Parents
Hello Families,
We are delighted to have been chosen as your in-school childcare provider and look forward to meeting and getting to know you, your children and your extended family. We promise to show your children love, care, compassion and support as they grow.
We wish to share the enclosed information with you all so you are aware of who we are, what we provide and a breakdown of costs and expectations.
ABOUT THE SETTING
The wraparound will be facilitated in the assembly hall (and possibly other areas as we expand) and we are fortunate enough to have the use of the lovely enclosed outdoor play area which includes a play gym. We will also have outdoor games and
toys. On good days, during quiet periods, we will avail of the nearby playpark.
Applications/contracts
Applications are available on our website www.staynplaytoddlergroups.com
You can also contact us directly and request a link to be sent to you.
We ask that you do not make an online application/contract for your child if you do not intend to use our facility. This causes a lot of confusion at pick up time for staff at both school and Stay'n'Play when your child is on our list for pick up.
If you require a place at a later stage you can contact us to check availability prior to making an application. If you make an online application and receive a 'confirmation of place' email, but no longer require your place, please let us know
immediately and prior to being invoiced.
DEPOSIT
A deposit of £50/child is required upon receipt of 'confirmation of place' email.
Deposits will be deducted from final payment provided there are no outstanding fees.
COSTS/FEES/SERVICE
ALL FEES SHOULD BE PAID MONTHLY IN ADVANCE
(fees not paid in time may result in your child's place being terminated and your deposit witheld).
Breakdown of costs:
Government help with child are costs will be available once our registration number is allocated.
If you are entitled to 'Tax Free Childcare
Vouchers' you can also avail of the new government NICCS scheme which entitles you to a further 15% discount, bringing afterschool costs from £20/child/day to approx £13.50/child/day and full day cost from £50/child/day to approx £33.75/child/day, and breakfast club from £4/child/day to approx £2.70/child/day.
These costs may vary slightly depending on vouchers' suppliers.
We urge everyone to make an application for tax free childcare vouchers via NI Direct/direct gov, as many families are not aware they are entitled to this help. It doesn't have to be provided through your employer's scheme, you can make this application independently.
The NICCS discount doesn't apply to anyone claiming help for childcare costs via Universal Credit.
All fees must be paid even if your child is not attending for any reason and also during school holidays/closures. Families can avail of holiday club options to offset these fees. (See 'holiday club' section)

POLICIES/PROCEEDURES
Policies and procedures will be available on request once checked and passed by our early years team and our legal advisors.
PRESCHOOL/P1 CHILDREN
Unfortunately, at the moment the service won't be available for nursery school children as this requires a separate unit and registration which isn't available just now, but we hope this may be an option in the future.
We are unable to take P1 children until they are in until 2pm as the layout of the
school is unable to accommodate this.
We have decided not to charge a holding fee during September for these children.
If this affects you, your child's place is still guaranteed but please contact us closer to the time your child will start with us and provide us with their name and class so we can accommodate this.
HOMEWORK
Homework can be carried out (if children wish to do so) in a quiet area. Please note we cannot force children to do homework even if parents request this but will endeavour to encourage them.
A member of staff will be available to supervise children but we are unable to assist any online homework.
RESOURCES/PLAY
A selection of age appropriate toys and
resources, which have been agreed by our early years team, will be available and replenished and rotated regularly. A semi structured, child lead play, dictated by children as individuals will be accommodated.
HANDOVER
We will let you know at collection everyday how your child has got on and if there has been any issues during their time with us. This will not be a detailed break down report of their day.
CONTACT US
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require anything further or feel we have failed to answer any questions you may have.
Complaints and queries:
As we are a totally separate organisation, with no affiliation with the school other than renting space, we ask that any concerns, queries or complaints are directed to us and not the school. As I'm sure you appreciate, they are very busy dealing with their own issues.
